What Is DermaSensor®?
DermaSensor® is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive device that uses advanced optical spectroscopy and artificial intelligence to provide objective information about suspicious skin lesions.
For appropriate patients, DermaSensor can help our provider evaluate lesions already considered suspicious for melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, or squamous cell carcinoma and determine whether referral to a dermatologist should be considered.

Changes in a mole or skin lesion can sometimes be difficult to evaluate by visual examination alone. DermaSensor provides our provider with additional objective information when evaluating an appropriate suspicious lesion.
Identifying concerning lesions and determining the appropriate next step can help patients receive timely dermatology evaluation when needed.

How DermaSensor Works
DermaSensor uses Elastic Scattering Spectroscopy (ESS) and artificial intelligence to analyze optical information from a suspicious skin lesion. The non-invasive evaluation takes only moments and provides objective information to help your provider determine the appropriate next step.

Your provider first evaluates the area clinically.
2. Non-Invasive Scan
DermaSensor is gently placed against the suspicious lesion.
3. Immediate Result
The device analyzes optical information from the lesion and provides an objective result.
4. Determine the Next Step
Your provider uses the result together with clinical findings to help determine whether dermatology referral is appropriate.
